Embracing the enchantment of December, with its adorned fir trees, twinkling lights, and holiday magic, Morgan and Collin’s wedding at Oakland Farm in Sanford, NC on December 3, 2022, radiated with the warmth and joy of the season. The rustic elegance of Oakland’s Barn venue transformed into a glistening Hallmark movie scene, adorned in shimmering golds and silvers, fragrant evergreens, and the allure of a winter wonderland. Fur-stoled guests and a special appearance by Santa himself added to the magic of their exquisite winter ceremony and reception.

For Morgan and Collin, the holidays hold a special significance. Their love story began amidst a friend’s November 2020 bonfire, blossoming into a romance that led to their first date in December of that year, marking the beginning of their beautiful journey together. Morgan’s college graduation party, amidst family and friends at her parent’s home, turned into an unforgettable moment. Midway through the celebrations, a picture with her brother became the perfect decoy as Collin knelt down, presenting a diamond ring and a promise for a lifetime together.

The Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

After a busy morning at Oakland Farm’s bridal suite - hair styled, gowns buttoned, and mimosas shared - Morgan and her favorite gals were ready to walk down the aisle. Adorned with romantic draping and twinkling Christmas trees, the Pavilion filled with guests as the processional music began. Morgan’s favorite moment of the day was seeing Collin’s reaction as her father escorted her down the aisle. Their emotional, yet light-hearted, wedding ceremony ended with a kiss and pronouncing the two Mr. & Mrs.!

The Winter Wedding Reception

Transitioning from the outdoor ceremony, guests gathered on patios, finding warmth beneath the tent and outdoor heaters during cocktail hour. Gigi’s Creations tantalized taste buds with delectable hors d'oeuvres under a canopy of twinkling lights, inviting joyful conversations and winter-themed libations, like apple cider mimosas. The wedding party entered the enchanting barn venue, and The Brickhouse Band began an evening filled with dance, laughter, and celebration. Morgan and Collin’s grand exit was truly a Hallmark movie moment. Snow fell, guests held sparklers and the couple hopped into a vintage Rolls Royce driven by Santa himself! There might not be anything quite as magical as a winter wedding day at Oakland Farm!
