Lindsey + Austin: A Classic Spring Wedding at Oakland Farm
All around the property, Oakland Farm is coming back to life after a long, chilly winter. As the trees start to bud, it begins a busy spring season here filled with some of the happiest days ever. To get everyone out of their winter blues, we’re reminiscing on Lindsey + Austin’s beautiful March wedding day. We can’t believe it’s been a whole year since they exchanged vows at Oakland Farm!
The Proposal: This sweet couple met at work where they both worked in public safety. Lindsey and Austin got engaged at Carolina Beach. Austin had Lindsey’s grandmother's ring reset into her engagement ring. We love the sentiment behind a family ring!
The Party: Lindsey described her wedding theme and colors as “romantic neutrals.” The traditional white and greens with gold accents made for timeless wedding photos from Heather Gunter Photography. The bride’s best gals were dressed in taupe and golds - each dress was unique, all coming from different stores and boutiques, but they complimented each other so well. Austin chose classic black suits for his groomsmen. And we can’t forget the floral necklace for their favorite pup! From sharing vows they wrote themselves, to their perfectly romantic first dance (they even took dance lessons), their spring wedding day was nothing short of magical. Lindsay’s favorite memory from the wedding was “dancing the night away with her favorite people.”
Advice to Future Brides + Grooms: The advice Lindsey says she would give to future bride and grooms would be to “Enjoy the process, it goes by too quickly and let your future husband have a say in some things it makes it more special”.
