Don’t Wait to Book Your Wedding Vendors

One popular question we hear from clients: How quickly should we book your venue? How soon should we book our planner/photographer/[fill-in-the-blank] vendor? Here’s our thoughts on why you shouldn’t wait too long to find your all-star vendor team:

1. AVAILABILITY: 2023 is almost fully booked for a lot of our favorite vendors and 2024 is filling up quickly. Most venues, caterers or DJs only do one wedding a day, while photographers, planners, videographers and others might only take a certain number of weddings per month or per year. If you have a favorite wedding vendor team in mind, don’t wait around to get on their calendar. Your date might get booked fast!

2. PRICE INCREASES: With inflation continuing into 2023, many vendors are increasing prices this year if they haven’t already. Plus, with vendor teams that are more experienced and who keep up to date on certifications and industry education, their prices will increase as their expertise and clientele grow.

3. LESS STRESS: The sooner you book your vendors, those are things on your wedding planning list that you can check off! Especially after you choose your date, venue and planner, you can breathe that sigh of relief. Your planner will keep you on track with making sure your other vendors are chosen in a timely manner and that your wedding planning experience is as stress-free as possible

4. A WIDER SELECTION: Do you love the second or third planner, photographer or hair and makeup team as much as you do your top pick? If not, try to book that favorite quickly! Make sure you have additional vendors on your lists to contact if your favorites aren’t available. The sooner you get started on booking your vendors, the wider selection you have to choose from while planning. Your list might start to get short as you find out vendors’ availability or pricing, but we’re always happy to make recommendations if you start to panic!
