Aerial + Daniel: A Rustic Romance

Aerial and Daniel brought a colorful romance to Oakland all the way from Washington, D.C. this July! It all began when they met playing a game of kickball with mutual friends in DC one summer. Eventually, Aerial and Daniel’s story led them to Bear Creek where they promised each other forever surrounded by fun pops of color, the best of friends and a fun-filled after-party!

The Proposal: Daniel planned a surprise Paint & Sip party with some of their friends. After enjoying time with other couples painting a romantic beach scene, Aerial’s mom walked in with their daughter, who was wearing a “Mommy, will you marry my daddy?” onesie. Daniel finally got down on one knee and asked Aerial the question she’d been waiting to hear. Thanks to Aerial’s uncle’s 50th birthday party happening that weekend, her family and friends were all in town to share in the celebration!

The Party: Aerial and Daniel’s wedding and reception was nothing short of perfection thanks to Jessica George Wedding & Events. She took their rustic romance theme and added some glam with touches of hot pinks, corals, light blues and deep burgundies. Bridesmaids wore uniquely styled floor-length magenta gowns from Lulus, and the groomsmen wore blue jackets with white suit pants from Macy’s. Daniel, the groom, wore a full blue suit from Men’s Warehouse.

Throughout the Barn you could find towering flowers from The Secret Garden II in vibrant colors contrasted against light blue silk linens from CE Rental. Touches of rose gold glittered on tabletops, adding that little glam our Bride was aiming for in her Rustic Romance theme. Flowers also covered the 4-tier white cake by Love Cakes with beautifully detailed icing ruffle on the base layer.

The Bride & Groom’s favorite memory from their wedding day was “the relief and joy we both felt once we said I do.” A close runner up was when the bride ran from a hornet queen bee on the morning of the rehearsal. Her heart was pounding out of her chest, but her family got a good laugh out of the moment! If you ask guests, their favorite part of the Stover’s wedding day was probably the dance party! Two DJs from The Deluxe Event Group kept the party going all night! Even the vendors were out on the floor for the “Wobble” before the end of the reception!

Advice to Future Brides & Grooms: Mr. & Mrs. Stover’s advice to other couples preparing for their big day is to “have fun! Don't sweat the small things, the day will go by so quickly but the memories you make will last a lifetime.” Something that helped the Bride & Groom focus on their love and first few hours of marriage was having their wedding planner, Jessica George, keeping things moving behind the scenes. Planners, like Jessica, handle all the small details, the schedule, vendor coordination and more so that the new Mr. and Mrs. have the best time on their wedding day!
