Another Oakland Farm couple just celebrated their one year anniversary! Ashley + Tyler are one of those couples who you absolutely love to be around. All smiles, warm and welcoming to all, and the sweetest southern accents and charm. Our experience was no different working with them as they planned their June 2022 wedding at Oakland Farm.

The couple happened across each other when Ashley was helping with a law enforcement training that Tyler attended. Later that evening, he added her on Instagram and asked her on their first date. It was truly a meet-cute story! Their fairytale continued when he proposed at Ashley’s favorite place, Disney World, in January 2021. He dropped to one knee in front of Cinderella’s castle, and with the help of her sister, their engagement story was absolutely unforgettable.

Ashley + Tyler began planning their June wedding at Oakland Farm, where they decided on an outdoor wedding ceremony under our shaded Pavilion and an indoor wedding reception. Ashley was truly a princess in her a-line, satin wedding gown. Her bridesmaids wore blush pink, chiffon dresses, and all the ladies had hair and makeup done by our favorite wedding hair and makeup team, Blushed Bridal.

Ceremony

Ashley had a timeless vision for her outdoor wedding, and guests enjoyed celebrating inside during their reception at Oakland Farm’s barn venue. The Pavilion was draped by Decoraciones Sonia and detailed with soft white floral arrangements by Ted’s Flower Basket. The cutest flower girls and ring bearer made an adorable entrance before Ashley and her father walked down the aisle. Vows and rings were exchanged, and Ashley + Tyler were officially Mr. & Mrs.! Sealed with a kiss!

Cocktail Hour

Before guests entered the magical venue, they enjoyed cocktails and appetizers by Gigi’s Creations on our patio. They carried the Disney theme subtly into their wedding day with a Mickey scavenger hunt, a Disney kids’ table, and a surprise visit from none other than Mickey and Minnie Mouse! Reception

Grand Exit

The couple’s grand exit kicked off with an intimate private dance, a sparkler send off, then hopping into a vintage Buick and driving down Oakland Farm’s winding driveway as husband and wife. Of course, they had to spend their honeymoon at Disney World before moving into their home as Mr. & Mrs. in Goldston, North Carolina.
